PRIVACY

Summary: Fotoxx does not collect or share personal data.

Image Metadata
Fotoxx saves image file metadata separately from the image files themselves.
This is within your own computer and not accessible to others unless you allow
this. If your images have greater security needs, consider using security tools
to block malware, prevent intrusion through the network, and restrict access to
sensitive files.

If you upload your image files to a web application (e.g. Flickr, Facebook),
embedded metadata is exposed to the web application and others who download your
images. For example, others could find out where you have been and at what time,
from GPS metadata inserted automatically by your camera, or added later with
Fotoxx or other tools. You can use Fotoxx to clear metadata from images before
uploading them.

Your Public IP Address
If you download a Fotoxx installation file from the Fotoxx hosting web server
(kornelix.net), your IP address will remain in the server log files up to one
month. If you use the [query] button in the dialog Help > About (to optain the
latest Fotoxx release number and date) your IP address will remain in the server
log files up to one month. This is no different from any access you make to any
other web server. Your internet service provider can identify you from this IP
address. Normally this is restricted by law to authorized legal agents.
